Chasing down client documents shouldn’t require chasing passwords too.
We just rolled out a simple but powerful update in Tidyflow: upload-only links for clients—no login required.
Now, instead of asking clients to sign in just to upload a file, you can send them a secure, upload-only link that works instantly.
🔗 One Link per Client, Always Ready
Each client in Tidyflow has a unique upload link available from their Files tab. No need to generate anything—just copy and send.
When the client opens the link, they’ll see a clean, branded upload form where they can:
- Enter their email address (for reference only—no validation or login)
- Add an optional comment
- Drag and drop one or more files
📂 Where Files Go (And Who Can See Them)
Uploaded files go directly into a folder under that client called Link Uploads. By default:
- The folder is not shared with the client or any contacts
- Files are visible only to your team
- Comments and the email entered by the client are saved to the file history
Want to give the client access to what they’ve uploaded? You can—just share the folder like any other. If you do, contacts with login access to the portal will be able to view and download those files.
You stay in full control of what’s visible—and what stays internal.
🛎️ Real-Time Notifications and File History
Whenever a client uploads something:
- Your team receives an Inbox notification (as long as they’re following the client)
- The file’s dropdown menu includes a history log showing the email, comment, and internal views
🎯 Why This Matters
Not every client is ready—or willing—to log into a portal just to send a file. Some just want to drop it and move on. This feature makes that possible, without sacrificing structure or security.
It’s especially useful for:
- Collecting year-end tax docs
- Onboarding new clients
- Older or tech-shy clients
- One-time requests
