Review Tidyflow Agent confirmation cards

Tidyflow Agent shows a confirmation card in Agent chat before it performs an action that needs your explicit approval. The card previews the proposed change. Nothing approval-gated is written until you confirm it, and Cancel leaves your workspace unchanged.

When Tidyflow Agent asks for confirmation

Confirmation cards protect changes where the details or consequences deserve a final check. Examples include creating or updating Jobs and Job templates, importing clients, changing time entries, drafting invoices from WIP, preparing signature requests, and destructive actions such as deleting a time entry or Job tag.

Not every safe write needs a card. The agent can prepare email and proposal drafts, add internal notes or comments, and answer questions within your permissions without asking you to confirm each step. Those drafts still require a person to review and send them from Tidyflow.

Review a Tidyflow Agent confirmation card

Before you approve a card:

1. Read the title and every field in the preview.
2. For a bulk change or client import, review every listed Job or row.
3. Check warning text carefully. Destructive actions use a red confirmation button.
4. Click the action button to confirm, or click Cancel to leave the workspace unchanged.

After a successful confirmation, the card shows what was completed and may include a link to open the result in Tidyflow.

What happens when the underlying data changes

Tidyflow checks the proposed action again when you confirm it. If a Job, invoice, time entry, template, or other source record changed after the preview was created, the action stops instead of applying an outdated change. Ask Tidyflow Agent to check the current data and propose the action again.

A confirmation card can also expire. An expired card cannot be reused, so ask the agent to recreate the proposal from current workspace data.

What a confirmed draft does and does not do

Confirming an invoice draft moves the selected time out of WIP and creates the draft invoice, but it does not email the invoice or sync it to your ledger. Confirming a client request creates an unsent request for review. Confirming a signature request prepares the envelope but does not send it.

Other cards can make an immediate workspace change, such as creating a client, updating a Job, or deleting a time entry. The preview tells you which kind of action you are approving.

Approval cards on delegated Jobs

A Tidyflow Agent session delegated to a Job pauses on an approval card in that Job’s feed when it proposes a consequential change, such as completing Jobs, reassigning work, changing billing fields, or deleting records. The card shows the exact proposed action. The session waits until someone approves or denies it, then continues, and the approved action runs exactly as it was proposed. An expired card is never executed, and the agent explains what it could not do.

Routine delegated work does not pause: the agent can read permitted workspace data, create clients and Jobs, prepare drafts, add internal comments, and perform allowed Job workflow changes within the abilities and client access configured in Settings → Agents. A session delegated to an inbox thread cannot pause on an approval card, so ask for consequential changes from a Job or in Agent chat.

Who can confirm a Tidyflow Agent action

For private chat cards, only the user whose Agent conversation contains the card can confirm or cancel it. For approval cards on a delegated Job, anyone who can edit that Job can decide, and billing or time actions also need the decider to hold billing or time access. Tidyflow checks the deciding user’s current role, permissions, AI consent, and client access again before executing the action. A card does not preserve access that has since been removed.
