AI & Agents
Turn on AI for your firm
Enable AI for your workspace, give your personal consent, and know what turns on: the Agent, summaries, Smart Classification, and AI connectors.
AI in Tidyflow is off until your firm opts in. Two layers of consent are required, and nothing is processed by AI until both are in place:
- Workspace: an owner or admin accepts the AI terms of use for the firm.
- Personal: each user separately consents to their own data being processed.
AI features are included on every plan at no extra cost. See pricing for plan details.
Enable AI for the workspace
Only owners and admins can do this.
- Go to Settings → Artificial intelligence.
- Read the AI terms of use.
- Tick I have read and accept the AI terms of use and click Enable AI.
Accepting the terms also records your own personal consent, so AI features work for you immediately. Other team members give their own consent separately.
Give your personal consent
Every other user opts in for themselves, either:
- from Settings → Artificial intelligence, under Your personal AI consent, by clicking Give my consent, or
- the first time they use an AI feature, when Tidyflow asks for consent before doing anything.
What turns on
- Tidyflow Agent: an AI teammate you can chat with from the Agent page and delegate Jobs and email threads to. See What you can ask Tidyflow Agent.
- Summaries: summarize a Job, a long email thread, or a file from where you’re viewing it.
- Smart Classification: suggested names and folders for files your clients upload. See Smart Classification for client uploads.
- AI connectors: connect Claude, ChatGPT, and other MCP-compatible tools to your workspace. See Connect AI Tools to Tidyflow with MCP.
Revoke consent
- Your personal consent: revoke it any time from Settings → Artificial intelligence. AI features stop working for you immediately, and any AI tools connected to your account are disconnected. Other users are unaffected.
- The workspace: an owner or admin can disable AI for the whole firm from the same page. AI features stop for everyone, and any active agent work is cancelled.
How your data is handled
When you use an AI feature, Tidyflow sends the relevant data, such as the email thread you’re summarizing or the workspace records you ask about, to the AI provider to generate a response. The provider is contractually prohibited from using your data to train its models. The AI terms of use describe this in full.
