Smart Classification for client uploads

Tidyflow reads files your clients upload and suggests a name and folder. Review the suggestions, edit them if needed, and approve or dismiss each one.

Clients upload files with names like scan_0412.pdf. Smart Classification reads the file, works out what it is, and suggests a clean name and the right client folder. Nothing is renamed or moved until you approve the suggestion.

Smart Classification is an AI feature, so it needs AI enabled for your firm and your personal consent. See Turn on AI for your firm.

When suggestions are generated

  • Automatically when a client uploads a file through a client request in the client portal.
  • Manually from the Files page: choose Smart classify from a file’s menu, or select several files and classify them together.

Review and approve suggestions

  1. Go to the Files page in the firm app and open the Smart classifications view. A count shows how many suggestions are waiting.
  2. Each file shows its suggested name and suggested folder. Edit either one before approving if the suggestion isn’t quite right.
  3. Approve applies the name and moves the file to the folder. Dismiss clears the suggestion and leaves the file untouched.

Approving or dismissing is per file, so you stay in control of every rename and move.
